PowerColor Software

All PowerColor updaters require a registration code that came with the original PowerColor installer. For installation instructions, please read the Software Updater History below.
LATEST MACINTOSH VERSION: PowerColor Updater Version 4.01 R43 is the current release for the PowerLook 3000, PowerLook 1100, PowerLook 2100XL, PowerLook III and Mirage II scanners.

LATEST WINDOWS VERSION: PowerColor Updater Version 4.01 R37 is the current release for the PowerLook 3000, PowerLook 2100XL, PowerLook III, PowerLook II and Mirage II scanners.

NOTE: No version of PowerColor currently runs on Windows for the PowerLook 1100. It is in development and should be available soon.

Software Updater History

September 13, 2002: Version 4.01 R37: for Windows
After downloading and unzipping this file, you can install the software. If you want only the new copy of PowerColor on you system, install the new PowerColor into the same folder as you installed the old PowerColor. The executable and preferences will be overwritten. If you want to keep the previous version of the software on your system, install the new PowerColor into a different folder than you installed the old PowerColor. In this case, if you have created an alias or shortcut, you will need to manually update them.
December 7, 2000: Version 4.01 R31: for Windows

New Features:

  1. New Compatibility

    1. PowerLook II

  2. One install for compatibility with Windows NT, 2000, and XP - no need to do an additional install of the NTaspi32 patch to make PowerColor work on your Windows NT, 2000, or XP system.

  3. New tool - ICC profiler generation tool - Under the edit menu, you will find an ICC profiler generation tool. This is to be used in conjunction with a custom ICC profile generation software. It steps you through the stages of scanning the target within PowerColor.

October 4, 2000: Version 4.01 R27: for Windows

    1. Buttons labeled with words: overview, prescan, and final scan.

    2. Crop resets to full bed size when cut-all regions button is used from the queue manager window or crop tool is double-clicked from the control bar window.

    3. Less steps to do a scan: prescan button will automatically add a region to the queue and prescan it.

  2. More flexibility

    1. User can set highlight and shadow manually within the Tone & Cast window.

    2. The probe tool now supports more than three static probes. Each Static probe now has its own window.

  3. New scan setting

    1. Large format setting to scale USM for large output

  4. Various bug fixes

    1. For PowerLook 3000 and Firmware 2.0 this update will fix streaking problems and color cast issues in the PowerColor Overview (Preview Window).
