Run Time Error 75
  • Disconnect the scanner from the PC.

  • Restart the PC.

  • Reinsert the newly obtained driver CD.

  • Close the auto run screen.

  • Click "okay" to cancel setup.

  • Double click "My Computer" and then right click to "Explore" the CD drive.

  • Double click "VistaScan" folder.

  • Double click "3.55" folder.

  • Double click "SCSIUSB".

  • Double click "Disk1" folder.

  • Double click the "VSSETUP" file.

  • Choose "Custom Installation".

  • Remove the check for software selection ?Magic Match Profile Pack?.
    (When prompted that files already exist click, "Next" to replace.)

  • Click "Install".

  • Once confirmed ?Installation Successful? attach the scanner to the PC and then restart your computer.

  • Double click "My Computer".

  • Right click on the CD drive and choose "Explore".

  • Double click the "VistaScan" folder.

  • Double click the "3.55" folder.

  • Double click the "SCSIUSB" folder.

  • Double click the "Win2000" folder.

  • Double click the "USETUP" file.

  • Once the 3.55 Install Shield Updater populates click "Next" and then click "Finish".

  • Click "Start".

  • Click "Control Panel".

  • Click "System".

  • Click "Hardware".

  • Click the "Device Manager" button.

  • Confirm the category of ?Imaging Devices? to be located in the list selection.

  • In "Imaging Devices" your particular scanner model will be referenced.

  • Right click the model shown and choose "Update Driver from the list".
    (Users with Service Pack 2 will be shown a selection of 3 options. Skip the
  • next step if you do not have service pack 2).

  • Choose ?No, not at this time?.

  • Choose ?Install from a list or specific location?.

  • Choose ?do not search?.

  • Select a device that reads, ?This driver is not digitally signed? at the bottom of the window.

  • Click ?Next?.

  • Click ?Continue Anyway?.

  • Click ?Finish?.

  • Access the Vista application by these steps below:
  • Click Start.
  • Click ?Programs/All programs?.
  • Click ?VistaScan? and ?VistaScan? again in the sub menu.
